How the South East Michigan Volleyball Officials Group handles the information you share with us.

Who we are
This website is operated by South East Michigan Volleyball Officials Group LLC ("SEMVOG," "we," or "us"), 5533 Roberts Road, Suite A, Marine City, MI 48039. Questions about this policy can be sent to semvog1@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you register for an event, we collect your first and last name, email address, mobile phone number, the days you can work, any notes you add, and your confirmation that your AAU membership is current. For most events we also collect a photo of your AAU membership card.
When you complete the new official interest form, we collect your name, email address, mobile phone number, the city you live in, the levels you want to officiate, your officiating experience, the registrations you hold, when you are available, and anything else you choose to tell us about your volleyball background.
When you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to share.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider, Render, keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to operate and secure the site. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.
This site does not use cookies, advertising, or analytics tracking.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Staff events and make officiating assignments
- Verify that officials meet event requirements, including a current AAU membership
- Contact you about assignments, schedule changes, training, and events
- Respond to your questions and requests
Officials are paid through 3Step Sports LLC. The payroll information you give 3Step Sports directly, such as your W9 and banking details, is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.
Your AAU membership card photo
Card photos are used to verify your AAU membership. They are stored in a private folder that SEMVOG assigners control, and they are shared with the event promoters listed below so they can confirm that the officials working their events are properly registered. Card photos are never posted publicly. If you submit a new photo for the same event, the earlier photo is deleted.
How we store your information
Registrations and interest form responses are sent over an encrypted connection and stored in a private Google Sheet, and card photos are stored in a private Google Drive folder, both in a Google account controlled by SEMVOG. Google provides the storage under its own terms and privacy policy. Access is limited to SEMVOG assigners, except for the sharing described below.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only:
- With the volleyball event promoters we staff events for, currently Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy, Far Out Volleyball Club, Munciana Volleyball, MJVBA, and 3Step Sports LLC. We share your name, contact information, and AAU membership card photo so they can verify your membership and staff their events. These organizations handle the information under their own privacy practices.

How long we keep it
We keep registration records and interest form responses for as long as they are needed for assigning, verification, and questions about past events. Card photos are deleted after the end of the club season in which they were submitted.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing semvog1@gmail.com. To change an event registration, submit the form again with the same email address, and your existing registration will be updated.
Children
This site is intended for adults. Officials working SEMVOG events must hold an adult AAU membership. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we will delete any that we learn was submitted.
Other websites
This site links to other organizations, including AAU, USA Volleyball, SportsEngine, 3Step Sports, Facebook, and apparel vendors. Their privacy practices are their own, so review their policies when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above.
