The rules for using the SEMVOG website and registering to officiate SEMVOG events.

Agreement to these terms
This website is operated by South East Michigan Volleyball Officials Group LLC ("SEMVOG," "we," or "us"). By using this site, registering for an event, or submitting any form, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who may register
You must be at least 18 years old to register as an official, unless SEMVOG approves otherwise. Officials must meet the requirements for each event, including a current AAU membership, any required background screening, and training for new officials, as described on our certification page.
Accurate information
When you register or submit a form, you agree that:
- The information you provide is true, current, and complete
- Any AAU membership card photo you submit is your own card, unaltered, and currently valid
- You will let us know promptly if your information changes, including if your membership lapses
Submitting false information or an altered or borrowed membership card may result in removal from assignments and from future SEMVOG events.
Registration and assignments
Registering for an event tells us you are available to work it. It does not guarantee an assignment. SEMVOG makes assignments at its discretion based on event needs, certification, experience, and availability.
If you can no longer work an event after registering or accepting an assignment, notify us as soon as possible so the event can be restaffed.
Independent contractors
Officials work SEMVOG events as independent contractors, not as employees of SEMVOG or of any event promoter. Pay rates, payroll, and tax forms are handled through 3Step Sports LLC under the agreements you complete with them.
Conduct
Officials represent SEMVOG and the game at every event. You agree to conduct yourself professionally, follow the rules and policies of AAU, USA Volleyball, SafeSport, and each event, and treat players, coaches, spectators, and fellow officials with respect. SEMVOG may remove any official from assignments for conduct that does not meet these standards.
Event information
We work to keep schedules, locations, times, and requirements accurate, but events may change or be canceled. The information on this site is provided for convenience, and the event promoter's final details control.
Our content
The SEMVOG name, crest, logo, and the content of this site are owned by South East Michigan Volleyball Officials Group LLC. All rights reserved. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse this site, including by submitting spam or automated entries, submitting information on behalf of someone else without their permission, attempting to interfere with the site or its forms, or attempting to access information that is not meant for you.
Other websites
This site links to other organizations, including AAU, USA Volleyball, SportsEngine, 3Step Sports, Facebook, and apparel vendors. We are not responsible for their content, services, or policies.
Disclaimer
This site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site or its forms will always be available or free of errors. If a form does not confirm your submission, contact us to make sure your registration was received.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, SEMVOG is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of the site means you accept it.
